Marie Antoinette Born

Question: A question for discussion: How does God choose our time and purpose?
Think about all the people in history. How does God decide that someone should be born in the 18th century to parents of royalty or peasants or slaves? How did he decide that we should be alive at this moment and not 500 years into the future or 100 years ago? Why is one person Marie Antoinette and another Jim Bob in Arkansas?
Answer: Think about this.
600 years or so before the birth of Christ an empire arose in Italy. The Roman empire. Impossibly it grew to encompass a great part of the world. 600 years later Christ was born, and because Rome was, and had built roads and reached the ends of the world....the gospel of Jesus Christ could reach the world. Eventualy Rome became the Holy Roman empire and spread Christianity further.
Rome was the tool of God
God spans time, He sees the beginning and the end of everything, and his timing is perfect

Shoe stories
There is no accurate guess when shoes were invented, but man’s ingenuity and creativity resulted in different shoe designs meant for different purposes – to protect feet from sharp jagged rocks and the cold, to hunt, to plant, and to have fun.
If love is an often told tale, shoes also have its own niche in the story-telling department. Throughout history, people have had their romances with shoes.
King Louis XIV of France wore high heeled shoes to camouflage his short height. He also banned commoners from wearing high heeled shoes, and no shoes can have higher heels than his.
Even Charlemagne wore shoes befitting his position as the protector of the Church – jeweled shoes. He was, however, required to wear these because of his exalted status.
The extravagant Marie Antoinette wore high heeled shoes to her death. Perhaps she didn’t want to part with them even in the darkest hour of her life.
What class are you?
Shoes, like clothes, reveal the person. In the days of yore, the status of a person in society was revealed by the type of shoes he wore. The longer the toe of the shoe, or the more bedecked with precious stones and ribbons, the more important the person.
Whether you like it or not, the shoes you’re wearing will tell the world a lot about you. Well-kept shoes reveal that you take care of your things and are careful of how you want people to see you. Shoddy shoes show that you’re lazy and unkempt.

French Revolution Vote By Order
French Revolution Vote By Order

Question: French Revolution: Vote by Head and Order?
I’m currently studying the Aristocratic Revolt, and was wondering what exactly the Third Estate meant by ‘voting by head and order.’ Could someone please clarify what this means? What’re the procedures that go into this? Thank you
![]()
Answer: The general estates summoned by the king were divided in three orders: aristocracy, clergy and third estate (ie the rest of the population mostly urban and rich). Traditionally each order would have one vote which of course went against the third estate which was twice as numerous an representing 97% of the population. The third estate strived for each "deputy" to have a vote, i.e. vote per head which advantaged it greatly.

Question: In what ways did Napoleon betray the ideas of the French Revolution?
I am doing an essay in my World History class. Some answers and maybe sites with addtional information would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Answer: Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity (Brotherhood) was the mantra of the French Revolution.
Napoleon betrayed equality by naming himself emperor and overthrowing the republic. He betrayed liberty when he started his conquest of Continental Europe. He betrayed fraternity when he deposed his fellow monarchs and appointed members of his family/friends to those posts (For example, his brother Joseph as king in Spain)
