The Treaty of Versailles

In 1755, when Marie Antoinette was born, Austria was at peace. Six month after Marie Antoinette 's birth, came radical change of the national alliance with Europe.

The First and Second Treaty of Versailles

The First Treaty of Versailles signed on May 1, 1756. This Treaty of Versailles was signed between France and Austria after England, which France viewed as an enemy, formed an alliance with Prussia as a defensive treaty.

Another Treaty of Versailles, known as the Second Treaty of Versailles was signed on May 1, 1757. In the Second Treaty of Versailles, Russia signs onto the treaty, which Austria and France had signed in 1756. In the Second Treaty of Versailles, it was stipulated that the two powers would fight against the King of Prussia, until Silesia and Glantz were restored to Austria.

Austria joined force with France in a way that if either country were to be attacked, the other would send in help. This alliance formed while Marie Antoinette was a baby would later on have the biggest impact on Marie Antoinette 's life.
