Question: Where can I find King Louis the XVI’s royal seal and a diagram of the Bastille?
I need to find the royal seal of King Louis XVI that he would have used on a Lettre de Cachet during the French Revolution. I also need a map or diagram of the Bastille. Help?
Answer: At the time of the Revolution, the gold seal of Louis XVI was melted down in order to recover the metal.
