Question: What was Marie Antoinette’s perspective of the events of French Revolution?

This could be in events, but please specify when answer. Please help !

Answer: Since Marie was herself an Austrian princess, she had little interest in the affairs of the common folk of France, and was generally aloof and disinterested anyway. But when the French Revolution struck, she and Louis XVI shrank back even further from the country's affairs.

She was the target of the worst of the rumors circulating through France at the time. Her famous line, "Let them eat cake," was something she probably never really said. It does, however, seem to confirm her arrogance and ignorance toward the French, as perceived by them at the time.
