When Did Marie Antoinette Get Married
Question: What was a nickname given to Louis XVI?
What was a kind of nickname given to him? He was king during the French Revolution, and married to Marie Antoinette…
Answer: I'm not sure he had one. I've never heard one applied to him.
(His grandfather Louis XV was called 'the well beloved'. Ironic, considering the conomy was in a shambles and he was pretty much universally hated.)
I did look at a couple of books in my library to see if there is any nickname applied to him, but none had one.
Are you sure that there was a nickname, or are you just speculating? Not all monarchs had them, you know.
